For more than two decades, Sheri Zvi has been dedicated to serving and strengthening the Jewish community, fighting antisemitism and all forms of bigotry. Sheri is the National Chief Development Officer of the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center, where she is responsible for raising awareness and philanthropic support for Sheba Medical Center’s clinical care, educational training, cutting edge research, and innovation for the advancement of medicine.
Prior to the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Sheri was the Florida Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the world’s leading organization that fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry by building bridges of communication, understanding, and respect among diverse groups. In this role, she created the strategy and vision to drive continuous growth and impact of activities, the annual campaign, and staff.
The granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors, daughter of an Israeli mother, and a first-generation American, Sheri was proud to serve as the Southeast Regional Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum from 2014-2017. In that capacity, she oversaw the development and growth of nine states and was responsible for helping to ensure the longevity of the Museum’s mission of “Never Again”, through teaching the history and lessons of the Holocaust, inspiring leaders, and citizens to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.
Before joining the Museum’s staff, Sheri served in several capacities in the Florida Region of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a non-partisan organization that works with members of Congress, through a network of political activists across the country, to influence policy that keeps America and Israel strong and secure. Here she was responsible for the organization’s development and grassroots objectives for nine years. Sheri also spent eight years working for AISH South Florida, inspiring people from all denominations to live more thoughtful, spiritual, and impactful lives by imparting timeless Jewish wisdom in easily digestible ways.
Sheri is an alumnus of multiple leadership initiatives, including the ADL Glass Leadership Institute, AIPAC Leadership Institute, and Horizons Leadership Program through the Jewish Federation of Broward County.
Born in New England and raised in South Florida, Sheri received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Near Eastern and North African Studies, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Psychology. Sheri and her family are long-time Broward County residents.
