Since October 7th, Sheba Medical Center received more than 300 casualties, including civilians and soldiers who were injured during the massacre by Hamas. 50% of the casualties are civilians that protected their families and homes and were severely wounded.
The nature of the injuries from the day of attack are catastrophic because they were military-grade weapons at close range against civilians wearing zero protection.
The day of attack affected enormous numbers of younger people, make the rehabilitation job in the years and decades ahead much greater.
Additionally, the urban warfare nature of the ground invasion will likely result in increased injuries and delayed evacuation.
