The Abraham Accords: A Jewish Ambassador from Bahrain Offers Her Insights

October 23, 2022 @ 5:00 pm EDT

American Friends of Sheba Medical Center will hold its first New York community event in more than three years. Cocktails and a light dinner will be served along with a powerful and dynamic program.

Featuring…

“Peace Through Health — The Abraham Accords” with Amb. Houda Nonoo

Houda Ezra Ebrahim Nonoo served as the Bahraini Ambassador to the United States from 2008 to 2013. She was appointed to the position by decree of Foreign Affairs Minister Khaled Ben Ahmad Al-Khalifa. Nonoo is the first Jew, and third woman, to be the appointed ambassador of Bahrain.

Amb. Nonoo and Director of Sheba Global Yoel Hareven will be interviewed about how Sheba became an instrumental part of making the Abraham Accords a success.

“A Soldier’s Story”

Sheba Medical Center does the rehabilitation for all wounded IDF soldiers. See the dramatic process through the eyes of one soldier.

Gravely wounded by a sniper’s bullet in the West Bank, he had his throat and jaw rebuilt at Sheba and was taught how to speak and swallow again. His inspiring journey provides a window into how Sheba takes care of those who keep Israel safe.
